From draft to realityShow sub-pages
The draft plan consultation has now closed and we will consider all of the feedback we have received and will publish a report about the consultation. This will be called 'You said, we heard'. It will be on the website from the week beginning 7 December 2015
Then, using the consultation results, we will turn the draft plan into the final plan.
How does the plan turn in to a service?
After this, the next stage of the project - called Procurement - can begin: finding the organisation(s) to run and deliver the services.
We want to make sure that we get the highest possible quality of services for the children and young people of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
To do this we have put the services into groups (called lots) and organisations can apply (bid) to become what we call “a provider” for one lot, more than one lot or all of the lots.
When will this happen?
Finding the organisation(s) to run and and deliver the services (Procurement) begins at the end of January 2016 and will finish at the end of September 2016 after which the contract will be awarded to the organisation(s) chosen to run the services.
It is from these bids that we will select the organisations which will give us the services you have told us you want.
The new service will start in April 2017.
We know this seems like a long time to wait but we have plenty to do following this public consultation including finding the right organisations to deliver this plan.
